BANNER ESCORTS - MORGAN O'NEIL, NOAH YULE & ASHLYN RICE - Class of 2030
In April of 2020 the OHW Committee voted to have Jake and Walt White as the Parade's Grand Marshals. A quote from the letter they received in June, 2020 said, in part, "You both represent the true meaning of community and what greater way to recognize both of you for your service to the town of Wilmington than by having you lead the next Old Home Week parade." As many of you know, Jake can only be with us in spirit but Walt and other members of the White Family will be at the front of the Parade.
The people carrying the OHW banner will be Owen Grinold and Loren Pike, 2020 TVMHS graduates. In 2010, as second graders, they escorted the banner. Loren and Owen will be joined by Hannah Sullivan, a 2021 graduate whose grandfather, Rummy Sullivan, was one of the 2010 Grand Marshals.
Joining these graduates as Escorts are Morgan O'Neil, Ashlyn Rice and Noah Yule. The families of these 3 have ties to Wilmington going back generations and in 2030 the 3 will carry the banner as 2030 TVMHS graduates.
Much of OHW is about tradition and family and our town. Our Grand Marshals and the younger ones leading the Parade are perfect examples of that.
